The New Year brings with it a familiar face in none other than the one and only, Goldie. One of the major players in the drum and bass scene worldwide, and owner of the prolific labels, Metalheadz and Rufige Kru, Goldie has sold more than 2.5 million records and ventured into every creative niche possible. Composing film scores, classical music and appearing not only on a multitude of TV shows but also several times on the big screen, his natural talent is immeasurable.
Goldie has produced artistic works with 3D (Massive Attack) and Sarah Gregory, whilst being commissioned to produce pieces for Neneh Cherry, Noel Gallagher, Bjork, James Lavelle, Nellee Hooper, Kevin Spacey, The Sex Pistols, Snow Patrol, Pete Tong and Jason Statham to name but a few, depicting his prolific work.
Having recently finished his remix for ‘Flashback’ by Calvin Harris and completed all artwork and album sleeves for Pete Tong’s label ‘Wonderland’, 2009 has been a successful year for him and with plans to re-record and score ‘Timeless’ for a full orchestra and choir, this looks to be the tip of the iceberg.
